Yogi wearing the heart!!! 🙂

My experience teaching yoga to my family:

I have to say, yoga is my one true love. I LOVE YOGA! I love yoga with my whole heart. There is nothing that makes me happier. Well actually, rewind, my family does. My family is a bunch of pretty cool people, so yep, you could say, I love them to the moon and back. They’ve always been so supportive of my yoga journey and of course couldn’t wait to learn a thing or two from moi! I guess I’m a yogi guru, well, at least in their eyes.

Karma yoga is an absolutely fabulous, incredible way to learn about your teaching method and in return, to learn about human anatomy. Yep, I certainly found out a thing or two about the human body while teaching! Ha, like when I questioned (and then requestioned) my husband about his super limited range of motion in his elbows. I just couldn’t fathom his lack of extension. His elbows don’t even extend to 180 degrees. Hm, just when you think you know someone, huh?

Life is full of unlimited opportunities if you simply open the door with an open mind. I very carefully opened the door to Neverland (i.e. Karma yoga), thought happy happy thoughts, soared up and through the sky on an incredible adventure that landed me in wonderland. I fell into a magical, rabbit hole that twisted my body (kind of literally) through many mazes of uncertainty, but in the end, found a place of tranquility.

I never want to stop teaching. I NEVER want to stop sharing my (contagious) love for yoga. Oh yeah, I’m contagious alright… if you get close enough, you might just get my yoga bug. I found this to be true for my dad. My dad is a handsome 6 foot 4 golfer that is, well, not the most flexible dude in the entire world. Designing a sports related class was a little challenging at first, but is now something that I cherish doing. I mean, come on, how remarkable is it that my family is turning into a bunch of yogis? Neato!

Oh and not to mention, my husband (like totally) gets down in his dog on a regular basis now. He’ll drop into a down dog right in the middle of his speed workout! Hey, it’s great to see his flexibility improving! He’s definitely looking more and more like Gumby each and every day!

Just call me Alice…no longer am I wondering around aimlessly, I’ve taken charge of Wonderland and am acting as a strong leader in my community.

Congratulations on turning your passion into something so much more. (I did the same thing with my fitness and became a trainer.) Take pride in all you do and keep sharing that love.
