Good evening everyone!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!!! Alright so, WELCOME TO MY BIRTHDAY WEEK (also known as the week before my birthday, which is Monday, May 26th (a.k.a. Memorial Day))!! Are you excited?? Well, I am!! Pretty cool, huh, that my birthday is on Memorial Day this year?! I think so!

EXCITING THINGS HEADING MY WAY (besides my 29th birthday):

1} My Yoga Teacher Training Program (200 hours) begins October 24th!!! After the 200-Hour Certification, I plan to begin the 500-Hour Certification (i.e. Yoga Therapy Training)!! I’m super excited about both!!! I LOVE YOGA!!!

2} I’m running the Elizabeth River 10k this Saturday, May 24th and I’m pretty curious about what I’ll run! Honestly, I have no idea what my finish time will be! My goals are to: #1– Have fun, #2– Push the pace, #3– Finish strong, #4– Laugh a lot!!

3} My summer league swim team starts up next Tuesday, May 27th!! This will be my fourth year coaching Beechwood and I’m thrilled because #1– We moved up a division (because we won every meet last year), and #2– This season, I’ll be co-head coaching! Woohoo!!

Yep, that’s me in the pool (last season) & yep, I’m in my clothes!! I’m pushed in the pool…after each win!

4} I’m going to Disney World during Thanksgiving break with my family and I can’t wait!! My husband and I are staying at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas!! It’s elegantly beautiful!!

5} I’m juicing again + Just Saying NO to sugar (until the weekends at least)!! My favorite juice concoction is an apple/orange duo!! It’s absolutely delicious + it satisfies my sweet tooth! Bye bye cakes, cookies, and candies galore (see ya Saturday)!!

6} I’ve been creating my own unique workout routines!!! I’ll share one with you this week!! Warning: It’s fabulously sweaty!! Can you feel the burn? Well, you will!

Birthday week? Pffff. You should be like my youngest niece who insists upon a full birthday month (which I wholeheartedly endorse). Happy pre-birthday and there best be cake in your future (after the weekend, of course).

Yay, happy birthday week!!! I’m running a 10k Saturday too – twinsies! Time goal?
Make sure not to have your phone in your pocket at the meets in case you get pushed in!
Awesome about Disney – several of the races I ran there go right through the Boardwalk resort. I felt a little at some for the people staying there when during the Dopey races would be running through there at 5:30 am. Hopefully we weren’t too loud!

Haha, thank you and yep, we are total twinsies!! Love it!! I’m thinking my goal will be under 44 minutes. I’d be pretty satisfied with that I think.
My swimmers are so funny because they totally check to make sure I don’t have my cell phone, my flip flops are off, etc. If I have my phone on me, they will take it and pass it back to one of the parents!! Haha!!! Hilarious!!
The Disney races sound like so much fun!! I should try one year!! My whole family loves Disney so I’d have lots of cheering support!! 😉 FUN!!!

        Ha, at least they’re considerate!
They are a lot of fun! Besides your family, they have tons of volunteers, bands, characters, spectators, displays, cheerleaders, etc. that cheer you most of the way!

Happy week before birthday! And congratulations on your yoga certification training program. You are a busy almost 29 year old! That Villa at Disney World looks incredible. I just blogged about my husband juicing. A diet solely of juiced things…for him which I worry about. I do love the fruit juice of all kinds with a bit of ginger and carrots in them. Good luck on your 10K.

I love that your race plan is to make sure to laugh 🙂 That alone will help you push the pace. As I like to say, if you’re not having fun, you won’t run fast! You’re team moved up a division because you’re such an awesome coach! Way to go little lady! The apple/orange juice sounds delish! And once you get certified, I’ll have to fly out there and take a one of your Yoga classes!!!
